The University is introducing publication and cost monitoring for Open Access publications in accordance with the requirements of the German Research Foundation (DFG) with immediate effect. Implementing institution is the University Library. Objectives of cost monitoring are a more efficient management of Open Access fees as well as cost transparency to improve the data basis and financial planning. This structural adjustment for publication expenditure is a university-wide effort for the sustainable financing of scientific publications and should therefore be taken into account by all scientists involved in publications.
