Description and Categories of Data
The displayed form fields are recorded in structured form in a database together with the date and time of registration. Once a carrel or a locker or a lockable trolley has been allocated, further data processing is carried out with help of the library software aDIS/BMS.
Purpose
Execution and confirmation of the reservation of lockers, carrels, and lockable trolleys.
Legal Basis
Legal basis is Art. 6, par. 1, letter e GDPR in connection with Art. 6, par. 3 GDPR in connection with sec. 4 State Data Protection Act (LDSG).
Recipient
Recipient of the personal data transmitted by means of form are the staff members of the User Services Department responsible for the reservation. The software and servers for the website and therefore the databases for storing the registration data are operated by the Technical Information and Communication Services (IZUS/TIK). Processing within the library software aDIS/BMS of the company aStec-Systeme e.G. is carried out on behalf of the University of Stuttgart by the Library Service Center Baden-Württemberg (BSZ). The servers are operated by the Center of Data Processing (ZDV) of the University of Tübingen as subcontractor of the BSZ.
Duration of Storage
After six months the entry is automatically deleted from the database. The transaction is deleted from the library account on the return of the key. The link to the user data is stored internally in the system for three months after.
Consequences of Nondisclosure, Possibility of Objection or Removal
The reservation of lockers, carrels, and lockable trolleys is not possible without mandatory information. This offer of the University Library is optional and additional.
Your Rights
You have the right to obtain information about your personal data stored from the University of Stuttgart and/or have data that are stored falsely corrected.
In addition, you have the right to deletion, restriction of processing, or a right to object to processing.
To do so, please turn to the above-mentioned Data Protection Officer of the University of Stuttgart via email.
You have the right to complain to the supervisory authority if you believe that processing of your personal data violates legal regulations. The supervisory authority responsible is the State Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information Baden-Württemberg (LfDI Baden-Württemberg).
