The map and plan collection is one of the oldest and unique holdings of the University of Stuttgart Library. The architectural drawings it contains reflect the building, design, and educational activities of the 18th to 20th centuries.
The collection includes works by Giovanni Salucci, Leopoldo Retti, Reinhard F. H. Fischer, Balthasar Neumann, Carl Friedrich Beisbarth, Christian Friedrich Leins, Wilhelm Linck, Erwin Rohrberg, and Rotraud Harling.
The drawings and photographs are under conservation care and have been inventoried, digitized, and made freely available online for scientists since 2011.
