Objects of Science

The University of Stuttgart has numerous scientific collections that cover a wide range of objects from the natural sciences, humanities and technology. Various departments, the University Library and the University Archives are home to diverse classical academic object collections, as well as unusual and unique collections.

University collections were and are created to support research and teaching. They have a high value for the communication of science. Through them and with them, complex cognitive processes of scientific work and thinking can be made comprehensible to everyone beyond the boundaries of the university. The individual collections and unusual collection objects are presented in various publications

The “Collections Network of the University of Stuttgart” is an association of contact persons for collections at institutes and central facilities.
